Two stylish women sitting at desktop and reading one file on modern office.

If you’ve ever met anybody from our team in person, you can probably tell that the Schaaf-PartnerCentric team is one big, happy family.  We’re incredibly proud of our employees and, in this monthly series, we give you; our valued clients and partners, the chance to get to know our team on a deeper level. This edition of Meet the Team: SPC MVPs  is a very special one highlighting two of our fearless leaders, Stephanie Harris & Julie Ávila!

Stephanie, hubby- Scott, son- Zachary and daughters- Lila & Ava at DisneyWorld for our SPC 10 Year Anniversary Retreat!

Name: Stephanie Harris

Position:  CEO

How long have you worked at SPC?  Over 10 years!!!!

What do you value most about Schaaf-PartnerCentric?  The culture — the people I get to work with every day make me laugh, make me push myself, make me smarter, make me proud to call them my teammates.  During our best and worst days, how we work and who we are, are what I value most.

What is your favorite thing about the industry? That it’s all about relationships.  At the end of the day, this is a channel that relies on meaningful connections.  The success lies in the affiliates you know and trust, the clients you represent and promote, and the partners you lean on for strategy, innovation, and new technology.  When it all comes together, you’re bringing new customers and increased ROI to the table in a very real and measurable way.  It’s a great way to spend the day.

What are you most proud of SPC for? We have been in business for over ten years, and many of the clients I first started managing all those years ago are STILL clients today.  We enjoy long standing partnerships that have grown and evolved over time, and it’s amazing to see the progress of the work we have done together.

Is there anything else you want readers to know about you? I am having my 4th baby in a few weeks, and all have been born during my time at SPC.  This is a special place that allows people to grow and expand both professionally and personally.  I’ve been afforded a work/life balance I wouldn’t trade for the world, and it would not be possible if not for the supportive, family-friendly, flexible company we have.  Thank you SPC!

What are your new years resolutions?

  • Read one new business book each month
  • Spend more time in one on one coaching with the staff
  • Get some sleep!!!

Julie, hubby- Francis, son- Maddox and daughter- Zoe at DisneyWorld for our SPC 10 Year Anniversary Retreat!

Name: Julie Ávila

Position: VP Client Services

How long have you worked at SPC?  42 months!

What do you value most about Schaaf-PartnerCentric?  The fact that everyone here is in it together.   In my past life, I’ve worked at several different companies but have never experienced a culture like this…where everyone is truly willing help each other out and looking out for the best interest of the company.  This company is full of smart, hard working individuals but what makes them so unique to me, is that this team also has a strong “ownership mentality” and they’re always looking for new ways to grow the business.  I also value the fact that even though we are a 100% virtual workforce, we find a way to support each other personally or professionally every day.

What is your favorite thing about the industry?  I love that I never know what’s next.  Things are evolving very quickly in the space which opens up countless numbers of opportunities for our organization and the programs we manage.  I also love the relationships I’ve developed over the years with our partners.  I can always count on good catch up sessions when attending conferences!

What are you most proud of SPC for?  I can go on and on and on here but if I had to narrow it down to 2 things, I’d say that (1) I’m proud of SPC for not being afraid to try new things and (2) proud of the amount of integrity we bring to work every day.

Is there anything else you want readers to know about you? (This can be either personal or professional!)   Hm… I am pretty much an open book.  Let’s see…I am scared of heights but I loved skydiving, I love anything spicy, I have a natural unibrow, I speak 2.5 languages (and would like to learn 2 more), my kids are my favorite people to be around and I probably curse too much.  I also really, really love a good joke/prank so if you have one to share please hit me up!

What are your new years resolutions?  My new years resolutions are to read one professional/leadership related book per month, to travel with my family to somewhere new in the world, nail down 2 new yoga inversion poses and, most important of all, to laugh every day.

morgan-fam
Morgan, hubby Preston and baby Samuel on their first family trip to the famous Seattle Farmers Market!

Name: Morgan Simon

Position: Sr. Marketing Manager

How long have you worked at SPC? It will be one year next month!

What does your work day typically look like? The thing I love about SPC is that no two days are the same! Everyday includes with emails, followed by a daily Sales and Marketing huddle call and typically content and campaign planning and execution. Depending on the time of year there will also be event planning, webinars, trade shows, etc.

What is your favorite thing about the industry? I love how fast paced this industry is. Best practices and laws are always changing so if you aren’t constantly innovating you’ll get left behind. I’ve also been fortunate enough to meet so many smart, awesome people through affiliate marketing, I love what a tight knit community it is!

Is there anything else you want readers to know about you? I can’t do a write up on myself and not mention that I have the sweetest 3 month old son, Samuel! He made me a mama in August and life has never been sweeter.

What is your favorite holiday tradition? Do I have to pick just one? I live for the holidays! My very favorite tradition would have to be my mom’s Christmas morning breakfast strata. She has made it since I was a little girl and there is nothing better than waking up to the smell of it wafting up their stairs on Christmas morning.

What are you most thankful for this holiday season? The top thing is of course my family (my husband Preston and son Samuel). Working for a company that is so supportive and encouraging to their employees is also at the top of my list – thanks for being so great, SPC!

dana-fam
Dana and manfriend Andy celebrating their anniversary at Crystal Cove State Beach!

Name: Dana Pezzin

Position: Marketing Coordinator & Designer

How long have you worked at SPC? Almost 1 year!!

What does your work day typically look like? Typically my day starts when I feel my dog Bear’s cold nose on mine.  This is how he says “Good Morning!” (usually before the alarm has even gone off). So we run to Starbucks on the corner, say hello to the friendly old fellas that sit at the same patio table every day, grab a coffee and head home to start the day! It is then I throw a vinyl on the record player and log on to touch-base with my amazing team at SPC!  We chat about our plans for the day and then get right to work! My day could include anything from putting together our monthly newsletter to designing an infographic or writing for our blog!  Its never dull and new projects are always coming down the pipeline so there really is no “typical” work day and I LOVE that!

What is your favorite thing about the industry? I think my favorite thing about the industry is that it is ever-changing.  There’s something to be said for an industry that is always innovating, growing, and evolving.  I am CONSTANTLY learning whether from my teammates, industry leaders, or in my day-to-day exchanges with friends in the business. So nice to work in a business thats never boring.

Is there anything else you want readers to know about you? I am a huge advocate for always being more kind than you feel like being. With all the hate, frustration, and doubt being expressed around our country and all over the world right now, Lord knows that its easy to become discouraged and lack the motivation to be warm and considerate. No matter who you voted for, or if you didn’t vote at all, be kind ya’ll. What an incredible change we would see in our world if we all tried to be more loving, more tolerant, more kind.

What is your favorite holiday tradition? Every year since my brother, sister and I were kids, after Thanksgiving dinner, my mom has presented each of us with a thoughtfully selected Christmas tree ornament so that when we grew old enough to have our own homes and our own tree’s we’d already have a collection to decorate with.  I now have my own cozy little home and my own tree adorned with 24 beautiful ornaments and holiday Barbie on top!

What are you most thankful for this holiday season? I have so much to be thankful for! God has blessed me with great health, an incredible family, a loving man, a career where I work with amazing people and a grateful heart.  There will always be hurdles to jump and life will never be perfect but where’s the fun in perfect anyway?! #THANKFUL

kelsey-fam
Kelsey (middle) and her girlfriends Kate and Katie exploring Davis Mountains State Park

Name: Kelsey Aschenbeck

Position: Graphic Designer

How long have you worked at SPC? 2 years

What does your work day typically look like? The first thing I do is look at the to-do list I made from the day before. I make a plan of attack for the day and get started. As a remote worker, the plan is essential. I have a desk full of paint pens, markers, and other fun art supplies that could distract me if I’m not diligent about my plan. Sometimes I write out the plan in those fun supplies, which is a nice little daily art exercise in itself. After that, I either hunker down at my home desk or walk down to Radio Coffee & Beer (but not for the beer, y’all! That’s for after 5!) It’s also essential to take a walk and enjoy the Austin sunshine every day.

What is your favorite thing about the industry? I like working in a future-facing industry. What is yesterday’s affiliate marketing doesn’t necessarily look like tomorrow’s. It’s exciting to keep up, look forward, and contribute visually to the ideas flying around our company.

Is there anything else you want readers to know about you? Its very common for graphic designers to reveal the tools they use (in addition to Adobe’s creative suite, of course) so here we go:
-Shinola sketchbook….I am obsessed with the softcover and pockets. The paper is perfect for doodling and light watercolor. Also, it’s an American-made product!

-Field Notes sketchbook by Aaron Draplin. (Yes, I carry around two sketchbooks…this one is for all the lists I make!) It’s fun and you support a badass designer with your purchase.

-TWSBI mini pen. It’s beautiful. I’ve used mine for four years now almost every day, so it’s on its last leg. I plan to buy myself another one as a Christmas present.

-MUJI pens for those of you who squirm at the thought of spending a lot on a pen.

Also, I think it’s important for designers who spend all day working on a screen to disconnect and do something by hand. I did that by completing #the100dayproject where you pick one thing to do every day for 100 days. You’ll find my here: #100DaysofPickingUpABrush

What is your favorite holiday tradition? Christmas is not a sprint, but a marathon in my family. Every Christmas Eve we gather at my grandmother’s house to have her homemade chicken salad sandwiches and soup. It’s a nice break from all the heavy food that is happening at every other gathering around that time. Oh man, I’m craving it right now as we speak.

If you could invite anyone, living or dead, to Thanksgiving dinner who would it be? Charles and Ray Eames. I’m such a design nerd right now…but if you haven’t heard of them, they are one of the most prolific design couples in American history. I remember having a chat with Brook when I was interviewing about how much I want an Eames chair one day. I love that they had their hands in all types of design…from furniture to film to exhibitions. I highly recommend their documentary– “Eames: the Architect and the Painter.”
Also, I would invite Leslie Knope. She’s not real, but how great is she?

What are you most thankful for this holiday season? The Gilmore Girls Netflix revival. Ha, but seriously, getting time to spend with my friends, family, and boyfriend. My boyfriend is currently working on making his own cider right now, so I think I will be especially thankful for that during this busy holiday season.

Ciao, everyone! Tune in next month to get to know your SPC family a little better!

Affiliate Program Manager

How long have you worked at SPC? 2 years

What does your typical work day look like? I have my standard day to day tasks:  answering both client and publisher emails, reviewing program metrics to stay on top of and report on weekly/monthly fluctuations, client weekly calls, internal strategy meetings. However, the part that really excites me is the out of the norm requests where clients have a specific KPI they are focusing on and need help optimizing.  Thinking outside of the box to help with these initiatives is something I thrive on because it takes me out of the standard tasks, and let’s me fully leverage my critical thinking skills.  I LOVE collaborating with my clients on new ideas.  It’s all about working together with the common goal of growth in the most efficient and streamlined way possible.

What do you enjoy most about the industry? This industry is ever changing, and has grown leaps and bounds since I first entered it back in 2007. I love the visibility I get from the various advertiser verticals I have the opportunity to manage, as well as the plug and play of what publisher distribution works with one advertiser vs. another.  I keep learning and growing with my clients, and I love that. The other part is the people I have the privilege of working with, both internal here at SPC as well as my clients and publisher partners.  Regardless of the side of business I am working with, one thing has remained constant in the last 9+ years, and that is the multitude of kind, collaborative, and intelligent people I have grown to know and can depend on.

What movie title best describes your life? “Life As A House”. Outside of this movie being shot in my hometown of Palos Verdes, CA, the theme is something that absolutely resonates with me.  Relationships with yourself and others, like houses, need to be built and maintained. I’m an exceptionally relationship oriented individual, and I operate with the understanding that we all are constant works in progress.  Relationships are hard work, but when you devote enough time to yourself, and by extension to your relationships, both personal and business related, you will come out with a beautiful end result.

Is there anything else you’d like readers to know about you? One of my passions has always been creative writing, and back in high school, one of my short stories centered around a son losing his mother (thankfully, not based on true events, folks!) was mentioned in our local newspaper.  Writing has always been an outlet for me to expel anything positive or negative in my life.

Affiliate Program Manager & Team Lead Content/Influencer Marketing

How long have you worked at SPC? 6 years

What does your typical work day look like? Many, many emails to respond to! It really comes down to staying on top of priority projects and tasks, and working as hard as you can to accomplish them that day! The funnest part of my day is discovering a great partner for a client to work with, and of course, working with SPC teammates.

What do you enjoy most about the industry? It is ever-evolving which can make it challenging, but never boring! And, if you have been in the affiliate space for some time like I have been, the colleagues you work with and the good friends you make become like family.

When you were little, what did you dream of being when you grew up? Looking back at my ‘school days’ book that my mom had me fill out and she pasted my school picture in, there were questions about what you wanted to be when you grew up. It changed all the time! One year I wanted to be a nurse and the next year I wanted to be a ballerina….I would not have been good at either!!

Is there anything else you’d like readers to know about you?  I love to be social but am also a loner…is that possible?

What does your typical work day look like? Every day is different but usually consists of answering client and publisher inquiries and requests, as well as calls and discussions with clients, affiliates, my SPC colleagues, etc. plus a variety of regular and ad hoc tasks that are scheduled each day, week, month!

What do you enjoy most about the industry? I really enjoy how dynamic the industry is, as well as the variety of clients I work with and per above, every day is different which makes it exciting and challenging!

What movie title would best describe your life? The Pursuit of Happiness.

Is there anything else you want readers to know about you? I lived in Colorado for 11 years, and hiked 5 of of the 54 “Fourteeners” aka 14,000–foot peaks (some a few times)!

What does your typical day look like?

Depends on the day honestly.  However typically, I start the day by answering publisher inquiries.  Then I move to completing analytical reports, recruitment updates, completing reversals, jumping on a client call or answering ad hoc requests.

What do you enjoy most about the industry?

I love that it’s always changing.  The learning curve is always there.  New challenges await us every day!

Is there anything else you want readers to know about you?

In addition to starting a new position with SPC very soon, my husband and I are about to become foster parents.  Lots of fun changes on the horizon!

What is your most embarrassing moment?

I would have to say in college when I fell down the stairs in front of a crowded room of onlookers.  I was feeling confident in my fun outfit, and the fall knocked the wind right out of my sails!

What does your typical day look like?

It varies. I have a list of tasks and routine maintenance items that I run through daily, and I try to prioritize the other ad-hoc requests and various projects that are thrown my way throughout the day.

What do you enjoy most about the industry?

The industry is very dynamic, so you have to be creative and forward-thinking to stay ahead of the curve. My profession also allows me to work with clients across a wide variety of verticals, giving me insight into some other very interesting industries.

Is there anything else you want readers to know about you?

I enjoy long walks down the fairway and a nice medium-rare ribeye, but I rarely hit the fairway and I sometimes overcook the steak.

What does your typical day look like?

No two days are ever alike, just the way I like it. There are always new and different problems needing to be solved.

What do you enjoy most about the industry?

The flex and the flux. I appreciate that we have clearly defined goals without rigidly defined means to achieving them. There is still a lot of room for creative thinking.

Is there anything else you want readers to know about you?

There is too much to tell, and probably none of it is all that interesting.  I am full of stories, though, and will gladly share them with anyone who’s curious…

Five Content Ideas for Summer by Affiliate Window

Author : Morgan Simon

At Schaaf-PartnerCentric, one of our favorite things about the affiliate marketing industry is the fantastic partnerships we’ve been able to form. Affiliate Window is one of those, and today we are excited to have PR & Marketing Coordinator, Courtney Lowenthal, guest posting on our blog. Continue reading to find out five summer content ideas!

summercontent

With the lack of gifting holidays during the summer months, this time of year tends to lend itself as a slow period for both advertisers and publishers. Although this season can be quieter than others, the warmer weather brings the opportunity for consumers to participate in more activities and events, most of which require new purchases. So, if you’re a publisher and looking to beat the heat (and summer slump), check out these content ideas from Affiliate Window, sure to boost sales over the next few months.

Sporting Events and Equipment
No matter which state or country you are in, summer is a time full of major sporting events. Aside from the typical MLB season, this summer will be jammed packed with events including the UEFA Euros, Wimbledon, Tour de France and of course, the Rio Olympic Games which begin in August. Although many of these events are hosted internationally, all provide the opportunity for people to come together and watch games, purchase gear and host parties for family and friends. From decorations and recipes, to jerseys and décor to cheer on their favorite teams, publishers have an abundance of content topics to choose from that will help your readers enjoy the games.  Why not create a guide on ‘How to host an Olympics party’ or ‘Wimbledon Party Essentials’, to name a few.

The warmer weather also increases consumer’s involvement in outdoor activities such as cycling, tennis, hiking and golf. Publishers can create blog posts on their favorite local golf courses, or gather reviews of equipment for more experienced athletes.

Wedding Season
Love it or not, wedding season is upon us which means consumers are evaluating their party attire and searching for gifts. According to data from eBay, searches for ‘wedding presents’ and other wedding related items are set to surge this month, as June 2015 saw a 33% increase compared to the two months prior. To stand out from the traditional wedding bloggers, tailor your content to include gift ideas on a budget, DIY gifts or alternative wedding attire options.

BBQs and Gardening
There’s nothing better than firing up the grill for the first barbecue of the summer! Grilling equipment, outdoor furniture and summer recipes are great ways to target this market. Why not get even more creative and suggest ways how to spruce up gardens, make the most of smaller outdoor spaces, and garden on a budget.

Last Minute Travel
The peak travel booking season may be in January, but that doesn’t mean that all consumers have booked their summer vacations yet. Now is a great time for publishers to put together a list of the best last minute travel bargains on destination near and far. For those readers who are well prepared and have booked their travel in advance, create a guide full of the essential items they will need on their trip: beach apparel, sunscreen, travel adapters, headphones, car rentals, airports transfers…the list goes on!

Activities for Children
While summer is an exciting time of year for most people, let’s think about the parents who now have to keep their children entertained for two months! Here is where you can step in with a list of activities and toys perfect for a hot summer day, such as pools and trampolines, as well as trips to local theme parks, zoos, festivals, museums, and more. For most publishers, the more local the offers, the better as this will ensure you are targeting the correct audience. For those with larger amounts of traffic, try contacting local businesses directly to enquire about a partnership. If you don’t ask, you will never know what they can offer!

Slow season? I think not! With all of these content ideas, plus countless more possibilities, publishers have an endless number of ways to keep readers engaged this summer.

Thanks Courtney, and if you’d like to read more great performance marketing tips and tricks head over to the Affiliate Window blog

How long have you worked for SPC?

10 Years!  (4 with PartnerCentric and then 6 once Schaaf acquired PartnerCentric)

What does your typical day look like?

I’m very routine. After taking the kids to school, I start my morning answering emails and checking performance for my clients from the prior day.  After that, I’ll start my tasks I’ve prioritizes for the day.  Part preparing for a client weekly status call, part working with my team executing the strategies put in place for my clients.  Before you know it, it’s time to pick the kids up from school.

What do you enjoy most about the industry?

Every single day is different. There are so many new and innovative ways to recruit, grow revenue, partner with new affiliates, create compelling offers, etc.. You never know what to expect.

Is there anything else you want readers to know about you?

I’m happy to work at a company where my colleagues share the same love for 90’s rap as I do.

If you could travel anywhere in the world for one week, where would you go and why?

I would go back to Bora Bora – the most beautiful place I’ve ever seen.  I went for my honeymoon and hope one day I’ll make it back there despite the very long trip to get there.  When you think of paradise, it’s basically Bora Bora.

Being in technology, the best part about my work day is that there is always a new obstacle to tackle! My morning always starts with my BIG cup of Peet’s coffee (have a small addiction). I always make sure to tackle any urgent tracking issues or integrations first, and then I  dive into current technical items and product catalogs.

What do you enjoy most about the industry?

The tight-knit affiliate group of intelligent individuals of course! Also, the recap of your job description from someone who is not in the industry:  “I think she does something with online advertisers on the computer with those banners that pop up, and some code stuff.”

Is there anything else you want readers to know about you?

I just got engaged in Mexico in April, I cannot wait to start the next chapter!

When you were little, what did you dream of being when you grew up?

A grocery bagger and you better believe I can bag the best bag of groceries till this day!

What does your typical day look like?

A Hero Sandwich – I begin and end my day with some of the daily and more standard tasks and in between there is lots of good stuff going on.

What do you enjoy most about the industry?

I enjoy how affiliate marketing continues to be an extremely dynamic piece of the marketing puzzle for merchants.  After being in the industry for over 13 years many pieces of the industry continue to change so quickly that it never gets boring.  We learn new ways to re-invent our programs and partnerships.  Whether that means utilizing a new technology, new way of collecting data, or working with a new type of publisher.

Is there anything else you want readers to know about you?

I’m a night owl and can’t force myself to sleep before 1am.

When you were little, what did you dream of being when you grew up?

I wanted to be a paleontologist (dinosaur hunter) and my parents actually sent me out to the Badlands when I was 14 to try it out for 2 weeks on my own with this science museum program on Long Island.  It was a neat experience, we saw a lot of the West besides mountains of dirt and I did get some dinosaur bones. More importantly, I learned that at least for me the actual actions of a paleontologist are quite boring and not at all like Jurassic Park.

That’s all, folks! Tune in next month to get to know your SPC family a little better!

How long have you worked for SPC?

A combined total of 5 years. (I left for a year, but they couldn’t keep me away long.)

What does your typical day look like?

Every day starts off with a “ROCK huddle”, where we each go around sharing a piece of good news along with our #1 priority for the day.  This really lays the pavement for what my focus of the day will be although there are always curve balls to be thrown. 🙂  After ROCKS, I typically spend my days working closely with our account managers to help drive strategy, ensure clients are happy, and help to build out our performance side of the company.

What do you enjoy most about the industry?

I love that the industry is always changing.  There is always something new to learn, a new publisher model to uncover, new strategies

What movie title would best describe your life?

One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest? Groundhogs Day?? As Good As it Gets? lol, I have a 3 year old and an 8 month old so the title changes depending on the day. 🙂

Is there anything else you want readers to know about you?

I fully believe in the work hard/play hard mentality.  When I’m not at the computer working(hard to pull me away at times) I’m either with my two boys and husband going on adventures, getting together with friends/family, or traveling.

How long have you worked at SPC?

It’ll be 5 years come Memorial Day!

What does your typical work day look like?

The Sales & Marketing team does a morning pow-wow to talk about our main priorities for the day, then I start knocking out meetings. I speak to companies of all sizes and types, talk to them about their goals, and see where our services might be a fit. My day is about 85% phone calls and Go To Meetings, and about 15% coordination with my colleagues on an advertiser’s specific use case.

What do you enjoy most about the industry?

I like that it’s still small enough to be a community. Everyone knows everyone, which can make it easier to get things done at times.

What movie title would best describe your life?

Frozen. I mean, who can survive in a 73-degree environment?! Are we living in Antarctica?

Is there anything else you want readers to know about you?

Full introvert here, guys. I’m not weird, just awkward.

Welcome to our fourth “Meet The Team” blog post, where I interview new members of Schaaf-PartnerCentric and talk to them about how they ended up in the affiliate marketing industry as well as how their experience is here at Schaaf-PartnerCentric. In today’s Meet The Team blog, I have decided to interview Alex Reno who is the Project Manager of Technology for Schaaf-PartnerCentric.

What is your background and how did you find Schaaf-PartnerCentric?

“I graduated from UCSB and worked in sales for four years at SantaBarbara Magazine. After working in Publishing, I decided I definitely wanted to jump into the online world and work with CJ Affiliate. I was a part of the agency team at CJ Affiliate for a couple years and then moved into the integration side of the house for about 2 more. After working in the affiliate marketing space for 4 years, I now have the opportunity to be a part of the Schaaf-PartnerCentric team as the Project Manager of Technology.”

What do you do for SPC and what do you like the most about your position?

“It’s my job to make sure all the pieces of the puzzle fit together during a client integration. I make sure our integrations are moving along in an efficient manner with the highest quality from our team. It is our team’s job to make sure the client’s program is set up for success! I also work on post integration client requests. Additionally, I assist with developing our internal training processes and tools as well as new hire trainings and projects.”

“What I like most about my position is that I get to work with different clients daily and set them up for success in the affiliate world. Learning each client’s new business and how they run it is super cool! I also truly enjoy working on our internal training projects.”

What do you like the most about Schaaf-PartnerCentric?

“I love how Schaaf-PartnerCentric completely cares about their clients and always has their best interests at heart. We tailor the programs to make them successful for each of our client’s needs. I love how innovative and smart the entire Schaaf-PartnerCentric team is! We really keep up with the changing industry and I love collaborating with every person on different projects.”

What do you work on outside of Schaaf-PartnerCentric?

“I love running. Running is a way to clear my mind and relieve stress. I love bike rides, hanging out with family and friends, cooking, and reading. Travel is something I definitely would like to do more of down the line. Fun fact about me is that I have an obsession with organizing different things whether it be re-arranging my work files and desk, organizing a friend’s closet, or putting together a fun dinner party.”

What advice would you give to new hires here at Schaaf- PartnerCentric?

“I would advise new hires to not be afraid to dive in and ask about what people are doing within their role in the company. Always get feedback. Keep up with the changing industry and expect change, it will be for the better. Knowing exactly how your department works and what your contribution is to the company is very important. For remote workers, get into a routine of picking up the telephone daily and don’t be afraid to ask questions, especially because you are not in the office. People will appreciate your questions and feedback and this will help you grow.”

Schaaf-PartnerCentric Half-Day To Play

Author : Guallie Garcia

Latest posts by Guallie Garcia (see all)

HalfDayPhotoCollageJuly was an exciting month for all the team members at Schaaf-PartnerCentric. For all of our hard work in adding clarity for our clients, our partners, and our team during the 2nd quarter, we were rewarded with a mandatory “Half-Day To Play” as requested by CEO, Stephanie Harris.

Unlike your typical half-day off, we were required to go out and do something fun during our time away from the office and take pictures to prove that we weren’t sleeping or staying in the house. As you can see from the pictures above, we did everything from going out with our families, eating with friends, relaxing while enjoying the outdoors, to even the more adventurous kayaking and running around a water park.

After spending our time away from work, the team was excited to view the pictures and learn more about our lives beyond our computers. This time off also helped us collect our thoughts and push us forward to achieve high goals into the next quarter.

As much as we loved  the half-day off, we had important business to get back to – cultivating and growing profitable and productive relationships for our clients and partners.  Please note – the animals and kids shown in this collage were not harmed during the making of Half Day To Play, forced picture posing and doing whatever we wanted aside.
