The Performance Marketing Association has just reported that the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue has just reinterpreted an existing law to state that out-of-state retailers have nexus and must collect sales tax. The tax collection must begin by Feb. 1, 2012.
This was an unexpected move that, the PMA estimates, will affect the estimated 9,000 affiliate marketers in the state of Pennsylvania.
