Why e-mail marketing should be part of your 2009 budget

E-mail open rates are stabilizing after recent dips in conversion, according to a new report from the Direct Marketing Association.

With today’s marketers focused on efficienty and rate of return, e-mail marketing remains a strong marketing channel second only to direct mail and Internet marketing. DMA found that the majority of marketers continue to invest in e-mail marketing.

In fact, 57% of today’s marketers have increased their e-mail marketing budgets for 2009. On average e-mail marketing now represents 12.6% of marketers’ budgets.
